Fixing |
* To be effective, insulation planning must include roofs, doors, windows, ventilation and flooring above colder areas. |
* Overlap each layer of insulation by 50mm and continuously seal along the laps and joins with a good quality foil backed tape to ensure airtightness. |
* No special equipment is needed to install the Tri-Iso Super 9, but each piece should be cut neatly to size with scissors and carefully stapled at regular intervals using corrosion resistant staples, minimum size for Tri-Iso Super 9: 14mm |
* As far as possible and practical, fix the insulation so as to leave a 20mm airspace either side of the product. This is important so as to ensure any heat exchange is made through radiation. |
IMPORTANT: In a warm roof application, an airspace MUST be left between the underlay and the insulation. |
* To achieve good thermo-acoustic insulation, use the Tri-Iso in conjunction with a dense insulating material. |
* When used in addition to existing insulation the Tri-Iso Super 9 must be installed on the warm side. |
* TV aerials: If fixing Tri-Iso Super 9 insulation onto the pitch of a roof, install television aerials outside the house to avoid any risk of interference. |
